GPS System and Technology

Vinomatos equips all its machines with high-precision GPS (RTK) — it’s not just an extra, it’s the brain of the system. The base sends corrections in real time, and the receiver on the machine transforms coordinates into movements: tutor in the right place, planting at the exact point, all without guesswork. The result? Perfect rows, less waste, less rework, and easier-to-manage harvests.

The RTK Constellation combines GNSS signals and a reference station that sends real-time corrections to the machine’s receiver, transforming raw coordinates into reliable positions; this eliminates a large part of atmospheric and clock errors. This correction allows for centimeter-level precision: each stake and each plant is placed with an error of only a few centimeters (e.g., ±2cm), ensuring repeatable alignment, less wasted resources, and much more efficient subsequent operations (irrigation, pruning, harvesting).
